The SAS ExperienceAs a member of the Student Accounting Society at Indiana University, you will have access to exclusive networking opportunities with representatives from top employers. Most importantly, you can network and further your professional development on your own schedule. Professional, community service, and social events are held regularly, but your level of club involvement is entirely up to you! Current members list the following reasons as to why they joined SAS and continue to be involved today:
|
1. Flexible
With three different membership levels, it’s easy to tailor the club to your needs and aspirations. There are no minimum event attendance requirements to become or stay a member, but of course the more you attend, the more you’ll benefit!
2. Broad Exposure
Most Wednesday evenings, representatives from a unique company come to campus to share more about themselves and give a little insight into navigating your career after leaving Kelley. Few clubs offer a similar level of consistent firm exposure, but then again, your exposure level is entirely up to you with SAS!
3. Community
As a member of SAS, you not only gain a vast network of accounting professionals, but of fellow Kelley accounting students as well. This proves very helpful when studying for classes, looking for internships, or just hanging out on the weekends. With over 100 current members, and a history dating back to when Ed Kelley was here, SAS has developed an extensive community spreading far beyond Bloomington.
